Ann KING bc1792-5, Poland, (death registered B1876 Newport, she died 8 April 1876, aged 87, at 4 Brixon Place, Newport, attended by her son Barnett KING of Commercial St, Newport), lodging house keeper (homemaker 1870), widow classification in 1851, but later Moses appears as husband.

Moses KING bc1785-9, Poland.  ( death registered D1880 Newport, he died on 27 December 1880, aged 90,  at 4 Near Market St, Newport, attended by his son Aaron KING of Commercial St, Newport )

2.  Isaac KING bc1823 overseas (presumed to be Isaac Lyons KING, b Skolaia, Poland, may have died 1901 Avon), (1841 hawker; 1845 cloth dresser; 1851 woolworker; later a watchmaker).  Several wives appear to be recorded, although marriages have not been established for all of them:

1851  'wife': Eliza KING formerly APPERLEY, hawker/woolworker, bc 1821-6 Cheltenham / The Bourne (Stroud) / Stonehouse GLS

As a result of recent information, it is now thought that Eliza is the daughter of William APPERLEY, unmarried shoemaker, bap 5 Aug 1787 Stroud [son of Richard maltster of Kings Stanley, 14 Feb 1787 King's Stanley by lic=Anne BROOKES of Rodborough]  (He was with ?wife Mary, laundress bc1800, and son Henry, apprentice cabinet maker, in 1841; but William, identified as unmarried, was with brother Charles and family in Stonehouse in 1851)

Eliza APPERLEY  hawker/woolworker, bc 1821-6 Cheltenham / Bourne / Stonehouse GLS C1858 Cheltenham*= William BROADHOUSE bc 1812 STAFFS, engineer (at = Eliza cited Richard APPERLEY, clothier as her father; by 1861 in New Street, Bristol.  By 1871 Eliza  BROADHOUSE is living at 5 Waterloo Terrace, Bristol with sons, Barnett and Walter, who have reverted to the King APPERLEY name, as well as BROADHOUSE daughters, Julia bc1860 Birmingham and Amelia bc1861 Bristol. NB next door neighbours are TILLET family.  By 1881 Eliza is living as Eliza TILLET bc1820 Cheltenham, laundress, with daughter, Julia BROADHOUSE, stationery maker, b Birmingham at 30 Princes St, Bristol. In 1891 she was still living with her daughter Julia BROADHOUSE.   Eliza TILLETT died 21 December 1894 at St Martins Street, Bristol, aged 70, reg Bristol D1894.  She was described as the widow of Samuel TILLETT, confectioner. Samuel TILLETT bap SS Philip & Jacob, Bristol, 14 May 1815, d14 March 1876, was first married to Mary Ann.  It is not known if he married Eliza after his wife's death.  However, in 1871 he appears as a widowed confectioner in a Birmingham workhouse and Eliza (BROADHOUSE) was living next door to Samuel's brother, Benjamin TILLETT whose son, Ben TILLETT, became well known. v)  Barnett KING b June Q 1852 Cheltenham, (1861 Barnett BROADHOUSE, later Barnett King APPERLEY at = B1872 Clifton, Alice Summers BELSTEN b1853 d 1902; 1904=Sarah Ann TUCKER) .  He died 1911.  See APPERLEY births list

At 9 Waverley Road, Marylebone, London: 1861 wife: Harriet BRADFORD nee WHITING bc1821-2 Cirencester, dressmaker,  C1854 Tewkesbury=Isaac Lyons KING (recorded as bc1822 Poland, Scripture reader)

In Long Row, Horsforth, Yorkshire:1881 wife: Emma KING nee POWELL/Emma Matilda BAYLISS bc 1848 HEF=B1875 Oxford (Isaac Lyons KING recorded as born Skolaia Poland c1827, watchmaker)

1891: Stokesay staying with Victoria P. Ashmore (27), Augusta E. Robinson (head, 23) and Victoria L. Robinson (23):

 

1891 wife: Martha KING nee LEWIS b Brewood STAFFS c1839,  whom he = March Q1890 Taunton.  However, at the time of the census, her husband is not at home.  Instead, he is recorded as: Isaac L KING visitor, bc 1826 Poland and son Isaac L KING b 1877 London.  Connection: Augusta Robinson's brother-in-law Alfred CRAWSHAW worked in Horsforth where Isaac Lyons was known to be in 1881. 

By 1901:  Isaac Lyons KING b1877 Watford working as servant to Henry WICKHAM in YKS.

1901 wife: Now in Staffordshire: Martha KING nee LEWIS b Brewood STAFFS c1839,  whom he appears to have= March Q1890 Taunton.  Isaac is recorded as a watchmaker but his birthplace is Vladvia, Poland, possibly Wlodawa?

4.  Barnett KING bc1835 Bristol, described as a painter 1860 and a picture-frame maker (co) in 1881 at 50 Commercial St, Newport. Present at death of mother, Ann KING,  who died 8 April 1876, aged 87, at 4 Brixon Place, Newport.  At that time Barnett KING was described as being 'of Commercial St, Newport'.

He married his 1st wife, Selina / Selena NEWMAN,  bc1846-8 Germany (Saxony in 1870) on 30 Jan 1865 in Harris, Texas, USA. Her death is believed to have been registered A1886 Newport, age 39.

5.  Aaron KING bc1836-7 Bristol, d March Q1900 Glamorgan, assistant to silversmith in 1851, painter 1860, sign painter 1881, with wife Anna P. bc1845 Germany (1860 Hannah age 20 from Prussia; 1870 Anna 24 from Saxony, homemaker).  Present at death of father, Moses KING,  who died on 27 December 1880, aged 90,  at 4 Near Market St, Newport.  At that time Aaron was described as 'of Commercial Street, Newport'.
