The family tree below is taken, for convenience, from the home produced book: More history in the Trees - The Family DALLISON by Malcolm Dallison (of 45 Leigh Close, Walsall, West Midlands, UK, WS4 2DU. Telephone 01922 635551) malcolmdallisonbtinternet.com

The information below is only a small sample of what is listed, including other family trees from around the world.

From More history in the Trees

FAMILIES ORIGINATING FROM AROUND THE BEDWORTH AREA ( NEAR COVENTRY, WARWICKSHIRE.)

The families shown below and on the previous page all appear to have commenced from ancestors who used the spelling of their Surname as either DARLISON or DALESON. Over the years this has largely become to be the more common DALLISON. The reasons for this may be many but most often due to the poor standards of literacy of their time and to the pronunciation being affected by local dialects etc. Most of the earliest known of this group followed the profession of Coal Miners in the abundant mines around the North Warwickshire area. Some however had apparently moved into the Silk Weaving and Ribbon making industry which had been established in this area and still survives to this day in Bedworth. It is my belief however that their origin is the same as for that of all those mentioned in this book-from the original Norman D' Alencon family.

The previous page shows the ''Trees'' thought to have developed from either JOHN DALESON who married Elizabeth..?.... Or from a ''selection'' of three WILLIAM DARLISONS. The small ''Tree'' below however does not seem to fit in at the moment and may possibly have come from a different line of descent.
