2. John Darlison (William) was christened2 on 22 Sep 1745 in
Bedworth, Warwickshire.
John was employed3 as ribbon weaver on 5 Mar 1788.
John Darlison and James Bridge had to appear before the
parish officials on 5 March 1788 and they were made to
pay a bond. It seems both were suspected of being the
father of Jane Hill, the child of Elizabeth Hill.
Elizabeth gave birth to Jane in Bedworth workhouse on
14 Feb 1786. The document was signed by William
Darlison, presumably the father of John. John Darlison
and James Bridge marked the document with an 'X'.
It is believed that John was buried on 5 Feb 1834 at
Chilvers Coton and was aged 88 at death.
John was not married to Elizabeth Hill daughter of
William Hill and Eleanor. Elizabeth was born about 1759
in Astley, Warws. She was christened4 on 13 Jul 1759 in
Astley, Warws.
On 25 Feb 1788, Elizabeth had to journey to Coventry
with one of the Overseers of Bedworth in order to swear
as to the father of her child Jane. This led to an
examination and warrant for John Darlison.
John and Elizabeth had the following children:

Bedworth, Warwickshire.
Jane married6 John Randle on 4 Jan 1808 in

Thomas married16 (2) Elizabeth Hill daughter of William
Hill and Eleanor on 5 Jan 1790 in Bedworth, Warwickshire.
Elizabeth was born about 1759 in Astley, Warws. She was
christened4 on 13 Jul 1759 in Astley, Warws.
On 25 Feb 1788, Elizabeth had to journey to Coventry
with one of the Overseers of Bedworth in order to swear
as to the father of her child Jane. This led to an
examination and warrant for John Darlison.
Thomas and Elizabeth had the following children:
7Fiii. Catherine Darlison was christened17 on 28 Mar
1790 in Bedworth, Warwickshire. She was
buried18 on 17 Sep 1794 in Bedworth,
Warwickshire.
8M iv. John Darlison or Dallison was born19 about 1791
in Bedworth, Warws. He was christened20 on 12

John signed a will22 on 6 Apr 1864 in Kirkby in
Ashfield, Notts. He was employed as Coal miner
in Kirkby in Ashfield, Notts.
There is an entry which may refer to this
John (although he would have been born in
1788 if this is true) from Warwickshire Poor
Law index as follows:-
"John Darleston 10-11-1802, apprentice index
Bedworth; apprentice to John Crutchlow,
Bedworth, cordwainer; 14 years old; son of
Thomas and Elizabeth Darleston, Bedworth."
