Highwood, but what year? My thanks to former Highwoodian Ann for the photo and to Mark for his attempts to date the photo. They suggested, in the 'flares' era, any time after 1972... Alan has helped us to narrow down the possibilities: ' I would say that this photo was taken in 1976 or 1977. Dr Boyd Gunnell is next to the bus, I think he started teaching at Highwood in 1976.' Paul Wharf's distinctive Renault, parked outside his office, is also a clue as he had the car until 1977.
Memories of 3W and our wonderful terrapin, 24 June 1977 Left to Right, Back Row : Mandy James, Karen Ellis, Tina Logan, Tom Pilston?, Karen Nash?, Sue Robinson, Alison Gilbert, Rosie Wells, April Church, Darryl Payne, Nigel Pinnell, Julian Blunt, Tim Gould, Robert Maller, Clive Ellis, Peter Birch, Alan Lane Front Row: Jackie?, Pat Clark, Paula Watkins, Paula Jones, Sarah Cooke, Angela Church, Mandy Browse, Jane Morley, Peter Palmer, Tim Nurding, Barry Clark, Steve Yolland. Many thanks Alan Eastwood for the latest additions - sorry that you missed the photo because of a music lesson! |
