Maynard KEWITSCH is compiling family trees for Kewitsch in the USA. He is keen to hear from anyone with interests in this branch: kewitsch@hotmail.com or kewitsch@msn.com There is no known link between our two families.....at present! Maynard is seeking information relating to his grandfather Albert Kewitsch who was born 29th April 1857. Albert's father was Heinrich K. Kewitsch (b.13th May 1833). Sometime after Albert's birth, Heinrich was married again, this time to a Henrietta Reetz (b.12 Feb 1829). This latter marriage may have occurred at the last known European location of Heinrich in Deutsch Puddiger, Kreis Schlawe, Pommern now Podgorki, Poland. Maynard's grandfather arrived 10th April 1884 in Baltimore, from Bremen, on the ship 'Hohenzollern'. The rest of the family arrived there from Bremen on 23rd October 1884 on the ship 'America'. The Kewitsch dynasty established itself in Minnessota.
