Jack Wells, WELLS James; Marshton Parish,York Co.,Virginia; 1590-1669 Wells Searching for parents or siblings of James Wells who was transported to Virginia from England before June 1654 James Well is thought to have been born possibly as early as 1590 somewhere in England. James Wells d.1669 and was buried in the Marshton Parish Graveyard, York County, Virginia near Williamsburg (age 79)  It is possible that he is the James Wells who married Mary Pishye on 28 May 1615 in Butterwick (Holland), Linconshire, England (age 25).Their known children were: John Wells b: Cir 1620; d: Cir 1680; George Wells b: Cir 1630; William Wells b.cir 1630 . It is possible that they were actually transported to the colony prior to 1654 as this is the year in which the men who transported James Wells and others received a their land grant in Va.
